In an interview to the B92 television, Samardzic explained that the Serbian and Albanian delegations will both put forward their views on status in order to try and reach a solution step by step.
The second item on the agenda will be agreement on further actions, said Samardzic and stressed that it is very important for Serbia to continue talks on the status of Kosovo-Metohija, in the course of which the Serbian delegation will keep insisting on direct talks.
Samardzic and foreign minister Vuk Jeremic are co-presidents of Serbia’s political delegation at consultations taking place today in Vienna for the continuation of the talks on the Kosovo-Metohija status with the Contact Group’s “troika”.
The delegation will also include Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Feodor Starcevic, Assistant Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Branislava Alendar, chief legal advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gaso Knezevic, political advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Simic and representatives of Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija Marko Jaksic and Goran Bogdanovic.
