Kostunica stressed that the international community must immediately severely condemn such threats. He said that such an act by Kosovo Albanians would be the worst possible scenario which could encourage ethnic minorities in many other countries to act similarly, leading to unforeseeable consequences.
The Serbian Prime Minister said that it is important that Belgrade and Pristina find a viable solution based on compromise for the province through direct talks, while respecting international law, the UN Charter and the UN SC Resolution 1244.
Economic cooperation between Lithuania and Serbia was also discussed and it was stated that there is good cooperation between the two countries.
Vaitiekunas, who is visiting Belgrade with a delegation of Lithuanian business people, stressed that business people in Lithuania are interested in investing into Serbia.
