Ilic told the Tanjug news agency that he also met with the French ministers of construction and transport to discuss investment projects in Serbia, adding that the projects concern the construction of a Belgrade beltway, the Belgrade-South Adriatic motorway, the Novi Sad-Subotica motorway, and a new Belgrade railway station.
Vinci expressed interest in investing in Serbia, the Minister said, noting that Vinci officials are ready to start investing in the country this year.
Vinci, one of the world’s largest construction firms, contracted €1 billion worth of deals in Central and South Eastern Europe last year, including a €280 million contract to build 15 kilometres of a motorway linking Hungary and Slovenia.
Deputy Minister of Capital Investment Rajko Korica and Road Directorate Director Ranko Jocic are accompanying Ilic on his visit to Paris.
