Tanabe said that three medical vehicles have already been delivered to Belgrade, and the same number will be delivered to Nis. As part of the assistance programme to Montenegro's health system, Kotor, Niksic and Mojkovac each got one medical vehicle.
Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic said that Serbia's major cities have received the most modern ambulances with resuscitation equipment, which should be secured for all emergency services in the country.
As part of the medical cooperation between the two countries, a number of doctors from Serbia went to Japan for advanced training, Milosavljevic said, adding that such cooperation will be continued.
President of the Novi Sad Executive Council Branislav Pomoriski said that out of the total of $68.6 million in Japanese donations that were sent to Serbia in past four years, Novi Sad received more than $2.3 million.
