Serbian government prepared to discuss Ambassador Polt’s proposal

Media Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Srdjan Djuric said in a statement to the Tanjug news agency that US Ambassador to Serbia Michael Polt has put forward “an interesting proposal that the US would like to withdraw from Kosovo”, adding that the Serbian government is prepared to discuss the proposal.
The Serbian government heard this interesting proposal today, stated by Ambassador Michael Polt, that the US would withdraw from the province and at the same time agree that Kosovo should remain a constituent part of Serbia, said Djuric.
He reiterated that the Serbian government is ready to discuss the proposal with US officials.
