Germany has set aside €49.8 in donations and €35 in soft loans.
In relations to last year, this year's financial assistance contains less donations and more loans, which shows the assistance's high developmental component.
Donations will be used for the sectors of energy, development of utility services (especially district heating in smaller towns in Serbia), economy and creation of new jobs through crediting of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as for the reforms of tax system and economic legislation.
Special attention will be paid to environmental protection, especially in the field of energy, as well as reduction of electricity consumption through programmes of energy efficiency.
Loan arrangements for the rehabilitation of Tamnava West lignite mine and Bajina Basta hydroelectric power plant are expected to be realised this year. The total value of these two arrangements stands at €55 million.
