Decision on RTB Bor privatisation postponed

The Serbian Privatisation Agency stated that the board for supervision and implementation of action plan for restructuring and privatisation of RTB Bor Group continued session today and postponed a final decision on continuation of the privatisation process.
Bearing in mind the present environmental condition in Bor and Majdanpek, the board considers environmental protection as one of the most important issues for the Bor region and therefore for the basin’s privatisation.
Wishing to end privatisation in the best interest of the company, employees and citizens of the region, an environmental protection strategy will be made by the next session of the board.
The date of the next session will be stated later, according to a statement.
