Government welcomes Russia's decision to reject new draft resolution on Kosovo

Media Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Srdjan Djuric said late today that the Serbian government welcomes Russia's decision to reject the draft of a new resolution on Kosovo-Metohija.
Djuric told the Tanjug news agency that this is the continuation of a principled policy and cooperation between Belgrade and Moscow, based on the respect for international law and the UN Charter.
Russia today rejected a new draft resolution on Kosovo, which gives Belgrade and Kosovo Albanians 120 days more to try to find a solution for the province's status.
Such a proposal is unacceptable for us, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin told reporters after the session of the UN Security Council.
