In an interview for the weekly NIN, Jankovic said that Serbia’s policy in the fight for the preservation of its territorial integrity is that of reasonable firmness.
He said it is obvious that the whole matter of Kosovo independence is not unfolding that smoothly nor is that simple as some might have first thought, and added that the option of unilateral declaration of independence still remains.
It is understandable that unilateral declaration of independence has not been excluded, though one without a background in the form of a UN decision, but this option is so poor and rife with peril that even the most careless among the international advocates of the idea of Kosovo independence realise that this cannot be taken lightly, warned Jankovic.
