Speaking at a gathering held in the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce on the subject “Development of Intermodal Transport in Serbia”, Lasica stressed that the bulk of a €70 million loan by the EIB was invested in development of intermodal transport in Serbia, and added that most important projects were reconstruction of 19 bridges and six tunnels on the rail route Nis – Dimitrovgrad.
Head of the department for intermodal and rail transport in the Ministry of Infrastructure Miodrag Poledica presented options in directions for developing transport infrastructure in Serbia and the potential which could be used for this purpose.
The gathering was organised by the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Transport Faculty at Belgrade University and the Norwegian institute for technology and society “Sintef”, and was attended by representatives of the railway, road and water transport in Serbia, the Serbian Army, Luka Beograd (the port of Belgrade), Belgrade Parking Services, public road companies, the Kirilo Savic Institute and the Serbian Development Bureau.
