Serbian Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic said last night that the main goal for the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development that he will head in the next four years will be to substantially increase the number of employees in Serbia and to provide people with a safe job.
Dinkic said in his address to journalists in Serbian parliament that he will do everything in his sector to increase employment and that young entrepreneurs receive loans without mortgage and to level the development of Serbia by regions.
He noted that the Ministry will help in creating a good budget that will allow economic development of Serbia and announced that the government will first adopt a privatisation strategy for large public companies so that citizens would know which companies will go private by the end of term of this government.
Speaking on public companies, the Minister said that within a month’s time he will present a clear plan of their privatisation that should be completed by mid-2008.
According to him, there is radical restructuring of the economy ahead of us, creating new companies and employment, with the primary goal in the next four years being employment rate growth in Serbia that would mean a safe job in companies with market perspectives.
One of the Ministry’s tasks is to pass appropriate regulations that would allow free distribution of shares to all citizens of legal age who so far have not received any shares in the process of privatisation, Dinkic stressed.
