Representatives of the Serbian government’s Commission for Missing Persons exhumed today in Smederevo’s new cemetery the mortal remains of ten persons buried in this cemetery in the period from 1991 to 1995.
The mortal remains were found in the Danube River in the areas of Smederevo municipal courts during the war conflicts in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia.
Also present at the exhumation of five men and five women were forensic teams from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The commission also announced exhumations at city cemeteries in Pancevo and Kovin until May 10.
