Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo opened today a new plant for production of plastic edible oil packaging within the Plima M company, in which €2.5 million was invested.
Assistant General Manager of Plima M Veroljub Cirkovic said that the plant's capacity is 6,000 bottles per hour and added that the rounding-up of the packaging system will save the company almost €600,000 per year.
He said that with the construction of this plant after the state-of-the-art Italian technology, the obligatory investment programme assumed with the purchase of Plima M in 2004 has been fulfilled.
Bubalo said that the industry of food products and edible oils Plima M is an exported-oriented company that is developing quickly. He said that Serbia cannot and must not rely only on the domestic market, but on exports as well.
The opening of the plant today was also attended by representatives of banking sector and economy, representatives of the Krusevac municipality and business partners of Plima M from Russia and Italy.
After the opening, Bubalo visited the facilities of
Trayal Corporation, which was acquired by Bulgarian Brikel EAD last year for a total of €12.12 million.
