According to the statement, prices of goods are up by over 0.7% and the prices of services by 0.8%.
Compared to December 2006, retail prices in March 2007 increased by 1.2%.
Against the previous month, the average cost of living in Serbia in March went up by 0.4%, whereas against December 2006 it increased by 0.6%.
The prices of agricultural products increased by 0.9%. Prices of vegetables, fruits and industrial foodstuffs are customary for this season.
There was a 0.5% rise in the prices of beverages and a 1.2% increase in the price of tobacco.
The prices of non-food industrial products went up by 1.1% on average. In this sector there was a growth in prices of oil derivatives, while there was no significant variation in prices of other products in this group.
The average prices of services went up by 0.8% and the growth of the index was mainly due to a rise in the cost of postal services and TV subscription.
