At a presentation of the ring road’s construction held at the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Jocic specified that out of this sum, €132.7 million should be provided by the state, €55 million by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), €2 million by the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), whereas the European Investment Bank is under obligation to participate in the project with €180 million.
Jocic said that according to the latest estimates, the total worth of the project will stand at €542.8 million and added that the construction of this ring road, which is part of Corridor 10, should be a priority of the state and its strategic goal.
From the beginning of the construction of the ring-road in 1990 until 2005, during which 16.8 kilometres of road from Dobanovci to Ostruznica was completed, the state invested €167 million whereas €6 million was funded by EIB, Jocic said.
He explained that works on the 37 kilometre Dobanovci-Bubanj Potok section are underway, whereas the plan for section A from Batajnica to Dobanovci is being revised and a general plan is being done for section C, from Bubanj Potok to Starcevo.
