In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Loncar said that he will head a Serbian delegation that will travel tomorrow on a two-day visit to Moscow. The delegation will include President of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Sanda Raskovic-Ivic.
On March 23, the state delegation will meet with Speaker of the Russian State Duma Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma Konstantin Kosachev and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov.
Loncar stressed that the Serbian delegation will emphasise in talks that Serbia advocates new negotiations which would be based, above all, on the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, and could lead to a compromise solution for the status of Kosovo-Metohija within the borders of Serbia.
Russian support for Serbia in this moment is of historical importance, because Serbia is now fighting to safeguard its entirety as a state and that part of its territory which is the cradle of Serbian statehood and spirituality, said Loncar.
