Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Slobodan Vuksanovic stated today that at the ministerial conference of central European countries taking place in Zagreb, the number of stipends to be granted to Serbian students and young teachers within the European student exchange programme CEPUS has been considerably increased.
In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Vuksanovic said that within this EU programme, the number of stipends for Serbia has been doubled against last year when it amounted to a total of 140 stipends.
He stressed that it was agreed at the conference that there are certain identical problems in education in various educational systems of central European states because reforms are being implemented in these countries in the same way.
Vuksanovic added that he attended the conference at the personal invitation of Croatian Minister of Science and Sport Dragan Primorac.
