Jocic stressed that the funds are secured from the National Investment Plan and will be used to build the left tunnel Strazevica, overpass no. 25 and regulation of the Rakovica steam.
He explained that works should be completed within 600 days and will include the construction of 5.4 kilometres of highway along with the left tunnel 733 metres long.
According to Jocic, the construction of the Belgrade ring road is one of the key state infrastructure projects and this year over RSD 60 billion will be invested in the reconstruction and construction of roads in Serbia.
Jocic also said that works on the ring road around the capital have resumed, as well as those in Sector 4, that is, the section from Ostruznica to Orlovaca, where a 700-metre tunnel, called Lipak, has already been dug. This section might be completed by end-2008 provided there is adequate financing, Jocic added.
