Savski Venac preventive health care centre opens

Assistant Minister of Health Snezana Simic today opened the centre for preventive health care at the Savski Venac health centre in Belgrade.
Simic said that as part of the Ministry of Health’s project "Improvement of Health Services in Serbia" and with support of the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), 25 preventive health care centres were opened.
According to her, these centres will focus on prevention of cardiovascular diseases, malign diseaes and diabetes.
Head of EAR office in Belgrade Brian Potter pointed out that prevention is one of priorities both in Europe and in the world and expressed satisfaction that the prevention programme is well accepted and successfully implemented in Serbia.
