Samardzic said that positions of the negotiators did not move closer together, but at least the arguments of both sides were understood better.
It was not possible to do more because of the biased mediation. Those whose task it was to mediate in the negotiations were openly supporting only one side, the coordinator of the state team explained.
He said that amendments presented by the Serbian side are the "red line" that cannot be crossed, but that there are many items that could be discussed in the upcoming talks, but in real talks, not in the discussion about one document whose content is determined in advance.
Speaking about the formation of a Serbian entity, Samardzic said that Belgrade's position is that in this case the entity does not represent any territorial concept or any contribution to division of Kosovo-Metohija, but a collection of rights of Kosovo Serbs.
Concerning the UN Security Council, Samardzic said that it cannot be predicted what Russia will do, but he recalled that Moscow said that it would not support any decision on Kosovo-Metohija which is not accepted by both sides.
