€30 mln invested in courts in last three years

Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic said today on his visit to the Municipal Court in Cuprija that over the past three years €30 million of non-budgetary funds has been invested in equipment and renovation of ourts.
Efficiency of courts has been improved by 20%, he said noting that many old cases have been solved.
He expressed expectation that from technical perspective, all conditions will be provided so that courts can function more efficiently.
Head of the Municipal Court in Cuprija Mirjana Vrzina said that RSD 4 million has been invested in renovation of court building thanks to fast reaction of the Ministry.
She recalled that this court has a staff of 49 employees, including nine judges, and also pointed out that 93% of the verdicts in 2006 are confirmed, which makes it best quality court of the Pomoravski District last year.
