Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica stated today that the international community must immediately and rigorously respond to all statements of ethnic Albanian separatists in which they threaten to resort to terrorism and violence unless Kosovo becomes a state.

In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Kostunica said that prior to the beginning of talks in Vienna ethnic Albanian separatists' threats are becoming increasingly obvious and more open.
Their attempts at blackmail and threats that they will turn to violence and terrorism if they do not get one more Albanian state on Serbia's territory must be most harshly condemned by the international community, stressed Kostunica.
He said that the international community has yet to ever back down when faced with threats of terror, let alone reward the terrorists by giving them a state.
It is time that ethnic Albanian separatists got a clear message from the international community that any act of violence will not be rewarded but quite severely punished, concluded Kostunica.
