The Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport and the British Council in Serbia organised a competition for elementary school students from Nis, Belgrade, Uzice and Novi Sad in Nis today, in nine areas of science and knowledge of the English language, in which new didactic methods were used.
Director of the British Council in Serbia Andrew Glass said on the occasion that the process of learning should always incorporate the element of fun, as this competition does, which is a “game of knowledge cards” on geography, history, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, health and technology.
The competition was opened in the regional centre for expert training by head of the Nis school administration Dragan Gejo, and is designed to make education fun, at the same time increasing students’ knowledge of science and the English language.
This system of competitions was designed by British Council experts, the Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport and the research centre “Petnica”.
