Simic said that this is the 23rd out of 25 prevention centres whose equipping was financed by the EU through the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR).
She announced that as part of the health ministry's project "Improvement of Health Services in Serbia", two more such centres will be open in Sremska Mitrovica and Kikinda.
The aim of these prevention centres is the reduction of the number of deaths from chronic non-contagious diseases, stressed Simic and added that Kragujevac citizens will be able to get free-of-charge medical checks here as well as get useful advice regarding health care, giving up smoking, reducing body weight and similar.
As part of the project, the Kragujevac health centre was also given several pieces of medical equipment and a vehicle which will be used by the mobile medical unit.
