Serbian Minister of Science and Environmental Protection Aleksandar Popovic and Swiss Ambassador to Belgrade Wilhelm Meier signed today a memorandum on understanding between the Serbian and Swiss governments on technical cooperation in the science sector.
The SCOPES 2005-2008 (Scientific Co-operation between Eastern Europe and Switzerland) is being financed by the Swiss government in the amount of nearly CHF 500,000 and implemented through the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
Within the framework of SCOPES programme, 150 projects and partnerships were accepted, which will run until the end of 2008, according to a statement from the Ministry.
