According to the statement, prices of goods are up by 0.5%, while the average prices of services remained the same.
The average cost of living in Serbia in January this year against the pervious month rose by 0.5%. The discrepancy between the increase in the index of retail prices and the cost of living index was due to different impacts of growth in prices for individual items on the overall index.
The prices of agricultural products increased by 1.9%. Prices of vegetables and fruits are customary for this season.
There was no change in the average costs of industrial foodstuffs, in which sector an insignificant variation in prices was observed.
The prices of beverages rose by 0.4% on average.
The price of tobacco is up by 10.5% on average, against the previous month.
The prices of non-food industrial products fell by 0.2% on average. In this sector there was a fall in prices of oil derivatives, while there was no significant variation in prices of other products in this group.
The average prices of services did not change in comparison to the previous month.
