Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo said last night that the privatisation process of socially owned companies should be completed as soon as possible but noted that no deadline has been set.
Bubalo told TV Pink that some 450 to 500 companies could be sold during 2007.
According to him, some 350 to 450 companies that were offered on auction several times will go bankrupt.
The Minister announced that socially owned companies that are not sold by the end of the year and that remain with positive capital will be transferred into the National Privatisation Register.
