Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Slobodan Vuksanovic visited today Kralj Petar Prvi elementary school and delivered 200 books, as part of the campaign of donation of books to schools, organised on the occasion of Saint Sava Day.

Apart from the Ministry of Education and Sport, this campaign was also supported by
Novosti company which will donate some 150,000 books to Serbian schools, and the Svetigora publishing house, which will donate copies of the monograph "Saint Sava - the Prince and the Educator".
The presentation of books and a play performed by the pupils was also attended by Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije Radovic and director of the Novosti company Manojlo Vukotic.
The oldest school in Serbia has around 850 pupils and is placed in the yard of the Cathedral Church. This year it was the first time that the celebration of Saint Sava Day lasted several days.
