Cotric and Jaksic attended the observation of the school patron saint's day, Saint Sava, in the Serbian school "Dositej Obradovic", and the Saint Sava Academy held at the National Opera House.
President of the Association of Serbs in Romania Slavomir Gvozdenovic told Beta news agency that celebrations of Saint Sava day will be held by January 29 in the organisation of the Association, in the towns of Arad, Resita, Veliki Semiklus, Lugoj and other places in Romania populated by Serbs.
Gvozdenovic said that as part of the celebration of Saint Sava day, liturgies will be held in Serbian churches and monasteries in Romania, while performances will be held in Serbian schools.
According to him, today in Timisoara performances have been made to mark the Saint Sava day, in which more than 1,000 Serbs took part. Apart from the representatives of the Serbian Ministry for Diaspora, the celebrations were also attended by representatives of Romanian authorities.
In addition, the Serbian Department at the University of Bucharest and the Serbian Embassy to Bucharest will organise the Saint Sava Academy on Monday in Bucharest, in which students, professors and embassy representatives will participate, Gvozdenovic added.
