The Serbian Statistics Office said that average gross salary in the Republic of Serbia in December 2006 amounted was RSD 41,294, which is higher by 21.84% in nominal terms and by 21.72% in real terms than the average November salary.
December's take-home salary stood at RSD 28,267 dinars, which is 22.11% and 21.99% more in nominal and real terms respectively than the November salary.
The average gross salary paid in December 2006, in relation to the gross salary paid in December 2005, is higher by 28.7% in nominal terms and 20.82% in real terms.
Compared with the same month of 2005, the December net salary rose 28.03% nominally and 20.78% in real terms.
Serbia’s average gross salary in the January-December 2006 period rose 24.42% and 11.39% in nominal and real terms respectively against the same period of 2005.
The average net salary paid out from January to December 2006 nominally rose 24.45% nominally and 11.41% in real terms against the same period last year, the Statistics Office said.
