Golubovic told the Tanjug news agency after returning from Berlin that the Serbian stand is placed at the main exhibition hall together with the stands of the Netherlands, Australia, Spain, Japan and Brazil. Apart from Serbia's agricultural offer, companies from the food industry are also presented there.
He said that at a roundtable on renewable energy, held as part of the "Green Week", an initiative was launched and accepted in principle that a forum on renewable energy be held at the international fair of agriculture in Novi Sad.
Renewable energy sources are the main theme of this year's "Green Week", Golubovic said and added that the European Union's plan is to increase its share in energy sources to 25% by 2020.
This fair could be considered to be important for Serbian agricultural journalism as well, because along with formal opening of the "Green Week", a meeting of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) was also held.
He said that at that meeting, one of the founders of the Serbian association of agricultural journalists "Agropress", Goran Djakovic, was appointed member of IFAJ executive board.
The Serbian government's delegation at the Berlin fair is especially committed to improving regional cooperation and eliminating all red tape obstacles between the countries of the region, first of all between the former Yugoslav republics.
He said that two protocols have been signed on cooperation between Macedonia and Serbia in the field of rural development and application of land laws.
The Serbian offer includes general food, jam, marmalade, ajvar, beverages, home-made pastry and mushrooms. Companies that will present their offer are Hera, Igda, Metalflex Product, Ulikses, Hila, Foodland, Art-ival, Simex, Vinarija Jovic and Navip.
Presentation of the Serbian food and agricultural offer in Berlin is sponsored by the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and organised by the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and the German Organisation for Technical Cooperation GTZ.
