The plant that will produce spare parts for Cimos, Volkswagen and Peugeot will create 100 jobs, Bubalo said.
FAM Secanj is a very good example of privatisation, Bubalo said noting that along with privatisation of Kikinda-based foundry Livnica will allow the Banat region to become a leader in Europe as regards production of aluminum car parts.
Bubalo recalled results of government’s work in the previous 1,000 days noting that he is very satisfied with the results of privatisation from 60 large debtors.
New machines and new jobs must be our weapon in the fight against poverty and corruption, Bubalo said.
Director of FAM Secanj Nada Milosevic pointed out that Slovenian Cimos invested €16.4 million in the first phase and added that by 2008 €40 million will be invested. She also said that the whole production is being exported.
President of Cimos management board Franc Krasovec announced new investments in Secanj in the amount of €19 million and also said that in 2008 Cimos plans to open an automotive parts facility in Jasa Tomic, which will employ around 300 workers.
Slovenian Cimos purchased Livnica in September 2004 for €100 million and in December 2005 a spare parts plant in Jasa Tomic for RSD 112 million.
