State Secretary at the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Danilo Golubovic announced today that Serbia will participate at the Green Week fair in Berlin, which begins on January 18.
Golubovic told Tanjug that Green Week is one of the largest agriculture fairs in the world at which agriculture ministers and state secretaries from around the world take part. He added that the topic of this year’s event will be bioenergy.
Serbia participated in this fair last year as well and made many contacts and long-term contracts, he said and announced meetings with agriculture ministers of Macedonia, Croatia, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Slovenia.
Green Week in Berlin is first out of nine fairs in which Serbia will participate this year in the organisation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, with technical support of the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
Participation in nine agriculture and food fairs last year resulted in revenues of over €170 million and contracts worth over €40 million.
