State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Zora Simovic opened today in Kosovska Mitrovica the office of the Business Registers Agency, the 13th organisational unit of this agency in Serbia and the first in Kosovo-Metohija.
Director of the Business Registers Agency Dragisa Okolisanov stated that the aim of the office is to achieve better availability of data and enable the formation of a single database on registered businesses and entrepreneurs.
The aim of the Kosovska Mitrovica office is to help Kosovo-Metohija residents to register their businesses and open shops quickly and easily and thus improve their social status in a much simpler way, namely by setting up their own businesses, said Okolisanov.
Head of the economic team for Kosovo-Metohija and the South of Serbia Nenad Popovic stressed that the opening of the Business Registers Agency's office in Kosovska Mitrovica is an example of how economic ties between central Serbia and Kosovo are strengthened.
Popovic said this is an excellent basis for all entrepreneurs wishing to quickly and efficiently fulfill all necessary conditions in order to open new companies.
He stressed that now that all the procedures can be easily performed in Kosovska Mitrovica, trade between central Serbia and its southern province will increase.
The office of the Business Registers Agency in Kosovska Mitrovica will begin work on Monday, January 15.
