Unidentified persons broke into the Church of Sts Peter and Paul in the village Gornja Brnjica near Pristina, on the night between January 7 and 8, and stole several icons and the church collection money raised for Christmas.
Bishop of Raska and Prizren Artemije condemned the desecration of the Church of Sts Peter and Paul, and said that it is not an accident that this latest attack on the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo-Metohija occurred precisely at the time of the most important celebration in Christianity – Christmas.
Members of the Kosovo Police Service have begun an investigation of the event.
