"I am especially pleased to be able to most cordially congratulate all citizens of Republika Srpska – on Republic Day and the patron saint's day of Holy Martyr and Archdeacon Stefan, as well as the joyous day of our Lord's birth, Christmas, and New Year.
Republika Srpska was created through a centuries-old desire of the Serb people in Bosnia and Herzegovina to enable a dignified, peaceful and safe life. The Serb people of Bosnia and Herzegovina have lived under the hardest conditions imaginable. However, they persevered by guarding their hearths, land, spiritual and moral values and their churches and monasteries.
Today, the Serbian people can live a peaceful and protected life in Republika Srpska, free to achieve economic and cultural ties with other two peoples of Bosnia Herzegovina in an equal manner.
You know that Republika Srpska remains dedicated to respect of the Dayton Agreement. Regarding the Agreement on special relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska, certain extremely valuable results have already been achieved which have rendered a considerable contribution to regional connections. Economic and cultural ties between Serbia and Republika Srpska also contribute to the strengthening of interstate relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina which are clearly dedicated to stronger overall regional connectedness in line with the recently signed Central European Free Trade Agreement.
Republika Srpska's progress is increasingly obvious day by day. I am strongly convinced that you will remain devoted to clear politics and the vision you have been striving towards and thus keep strengthening all institutions of Republika Srpska and provide true welfare for all citizens.
With warm wishes for these great holidays, the Republic Day and the patron saint's day, I hope that you and all citizens of Republika Srpska will spend these festive days, as well as the upcoming year in peace, prosperity and spiritual joy – Peace on Earth, Christ is born!", reads the Prime Minister's greeting.
