"I wish a merry Christmas with all my heart to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle and all believers of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the country and diaspora.
During the Christmas holiday, our first thoughts and best wishes are turned to Kosovo-Metohija, our mother land and the home of the Serbian people from the times before all displacements and divisions took place. The Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija who are bravely and devotedly protecting their houses, farms, churches, monasteries and graves of their predecessors, are also protecting our state and our historical memory. With the common will of the people expressed through the adopted Constitution of Serbia, we will preserve the wholeness and integrity of our country and relying on God's and human justice, we will keep Kosovo-Metohija within our borders.
Serbia has shown that it has great strength to recover, become stronger and to continue progressing on the rightly established foundations. Today, with all reason, we can be convinced that we are on the right path that leads to Serbia's recovery and true welfare of all of its citizens.
With my deepest wishes to spend the Christmas holiday in love, happiness, harmony and tranquility, I wish a merry Christmas to all citizens of Serbia with the joyful salute "Peace from God - Christ is born," reads the Prime Minister's greeting.
