Kostunica said that that is very worrying since no one from Belgrade has seen Ahtisaari for six months, but at this moment he is talking about some negotiations that have been brought to an end and on the basis of which he will draft a proposal of the solution.
The negotiations that were conducted in Vienna resemble a poorly staged theatre play in which Serbia refuses to play a walk-on role, Kostunica said and added that he
sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon at the beginning of his mandate, reminding him that there is a rule that is applied on every state in the world, including Serbia, and that is the principle of territorial integrity and sovereignty of existing states, as prescribed by the UN Charter.
It was six months ago that I last saw Ahtisaari and I do not understand with whom and in which way he has been negotiating since then and how he came up with the proposal, the Serbian Prime Minister said.
He voiced hope that the UN Secretary-General will let his special envoy know that there are rules that have to be respected and that Serbia cannot be an exception from those rules.
