According to the latest preliminary results from the Serbian Election Commission (RIK), Serbian Radical Party (SRS) candidate Tomislav Nikolic secured 30.44 percent of the vote in the June 13 presidential election, followed by Democratic Party (DS) nominee Boris Tadic who won 27.60 percent of votes.
Bogoljub Karic, who run as an independent candidate, came in third with 18.18 percent support, followed by ruling coalition candidate Dragan Marsicanin who won 13.29 percent of the vote.
The election saw a 47.62 percent voter turnout, preliminary results show.
According to earlier results, Ivica Dacic of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) came in fifth with 4.02 percent, followed by independent candidate Jelisaveta Karadjordjevic who secured 2.03 percent of votes.
None of the remaining candidates secured one percent of the vote.
