President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić signed today the Decree on the Dissolution of the Serbian Parliament and the Decision on the Scheduling of Early Parliamentary Elections, which will be held on 25 October.

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić signed today the Decree on the Dissolution of the Serbian Parliament and the Decision on the Scheduling of Early Parliamentary Elections, which will be held on 25 October.
The Decree states that he is dissolving the Serbian Parliament elected on 17 December 2023. Vučić made the decision based on the reasoned proposal of the Serbian Government of 7 September.
In his address at the Presidency of Serbia, Vučić stated that the Decree will enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.
The President of the Republic signed the Decision on the Calling of Elections for the Members of Parliament on 25 October 2026.
The deadlines for carrying out electoral activities shall begin to run from the day of entry into force of this Decision. This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.
The elections for the members of parliament shall be conducted by the election administration bodies pursuant to the provisions of the Law on the Election of Members of Parliament.
