Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica sent today a telegram of condolence on the death of water polo player Mirko Sandic to his family and the Serbian Water Polo Federation.

Sandic’s name is inseparably connected to Serbia’s biggest successes in water polo. We all remember well how proud we were at the excellent performance and first gold medal won achieved by our national team. Mirko Sandic, his associates and students are most deservedly to be credited for the glorious tradition and place which we have in the world in the sport of water polo, reads the Prime Minister’s telegram of condolence.
