Samardzic and Kojen, who are visiting China, said in a statement to the Tanjug news agency that their collocutors stressed that a one-sided and imposed solution would fundamentally endanger regional stability.
They talked with Chinese Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Kong Quan and also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Li Zhaoxing.
According to Samardzic and Kojen, Chinese politicians feel that the negotiating process should be held without artificial time limits and that the issue of Kosovo's future status can be solved only through a patient search for compromise under UN auspices.
Their Chinese collocutors were very interested in the Kosovo issue, said the coordinators and added that as a full member of the UN Security Council, China is also taking part in the talks on Kosovo.
They familiarised their hosts with Serbia's fundamental position and determination to help find a compromise, peaceful and long-term solution to this issue in line with fundamental principles of international law and values of the democratic society.
The coordinators also discussed bilateral relations between Serbia and China with Chinese officials.
