Srdjan Djuric
Following an interview of UK Ambassador to Serbia David Gowen to Beta, where he expressed expectation that Serbia will show constructive position to the Kosovo-Metohija problem, Djuric told Beta that Serbia’s constructiveness is seen in its pledge for full respect of the UN Charter, international law, European values and European experience, inviolability of state borders as well as respect of the Serbian Constitution.
According to Djuric, the Serbian government expects a constructive UK policy toward Serbia, that is, in accordance with the UN Charter and general European democratic values.
We expect that the UK, being a regular member of the UN Security Council, a prominent member of NATO and Contact Group, should respect sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and should pledge for a just solution for Kosovo-Metohija, not questioning Serbia’s territorial entirety, Djuric said.
