Expo 2027 an opportunity to connect Serbia and Pacific countries

On this occasion, Macura emphasised Serbia's commitment to further develop relations with the Pacific countries and contribute to a joint response to global challenges.
The Minister stated that Serbia is determined to become a strong and committed European partner of the Blue Pacific, pointing out that the climate crisis knows no borders and that, even for countries like Serbia, which do not have direct access to the ocean, protecting the Pacific represents protecting our common survival.
She particularly highlighted the Specialised Expo 2027, which will be held in Belgrade next year under the theme "Play for Humanity", as one more opportunity to connect Serbia, the Pacific countries and international partners.
The Minister invited representatives of the Pacific countries to come to Belgrade next year and, together with Serbia, present the Blue Pacific to the world.
