Macut said that the largest part of these investments is used for medicines, highlighting the importance of the measures that came into effect on 1 August and 17 August, which reduce the costs of therapy for citizens and expand the availability of prescription medicines.
He assessed that this is a significant financial allocation by the state, but above all, a great relief for patients who allocate money for necessary therapy every month.
Speaking about the University of Belgrade, Macut pointed out that it is one of the most important national institutions and that its fall on the Shanghai list should be a reason for serious analysis and finding a way to reverse the negative trend, and not a topic for daily political divisions.
The Prime Minister recalled that during the blockades, he warned that a long-term interruption of teaching and scientific research work cannot go without consequences.
He said that we cannot view one event as the sole cause of the University's downfall, but at the same time it is important to look at the consequences of the disruption of the teaching process, scientific work, international cooperation and the reputation of this institution.
Referring to the situation with fires in the Deliblato Sands, the Prime Minister pointed out that the state has been involved in taking all the necessary measures to prevent and remedy the consequences from the very beginning of the adverse weather conditions.
Macut stated that the adverse weather conditions made the fight against the fires significantly more difficult, but he emphasised that the situation is currently more favourable and that the fires have been brought under control and their intensity is reducing.
The Prime Minister pointed out that it is important for him that concrete results remain behind the work of the Government, and not his name.
I would like that at the end of the Government's mandate, one can say that Serbia is a more stable, orderly and healthy country, with better healthcare, stronger state universities, higher quality education, safer energy, more developed agriculture and institutions that work in the interests of citizens, Macut stated.
