Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, visited Šid today, touring the local Health Centre and paying a visit to the Vasiljević refugee family in the village of Kukujevci.
During his visit to the Health Centre, Macut stressed that this healthcare institution demonstrates how responsible policies and investment can improve healthcare services for the population.
He highlighted investment in healthcare personnel and the professional development of the Health Centre’s staff as being of particular importance.
The Prime Minister noted that, at the end of July, the Health Centre received a new high-end ultrasound machine for precise radiological diagnostics, which will enable higher-quality examinations of the breast, thyroid gland, lymph nodes and other organs.
While visiting the four-member Vasiljević refugee family in the village of Kukujevci, Macut emphasised that the state’s commitment is to stand by those who were forced to flee their homes, ensuring they can live in safety and dignity.
