Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, attended the opening of the 20th Mediterranean Games in the Italian city of Taranto yesterday, where he met with President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and the country’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Macut, who expressed support to Serbian athletes in Taranto, emphasised that Italy is very close to Serbia and one of our most important and largest partners.
Serbia is participating in these games with 148 athletes, who are our great ambassadors, the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister also spoke with President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, President of Lebanon Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister of Algeria Sifi Ghrieb.
The Mediterranean Games in Taranto will last until 3 September.
