The Serbian government adopted at its session today a memorandum of budget and economic policy for 2007, with projections for 2008 and 2009.
It also adopted the Bill on the ratification of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and the Bill on the ratification of the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians.
It adopted amendments to the Decree on the agenda and funds allocation for tourism development in 2006.
The government also adopted the Decree on establishing the Serbian Accreditation Service that previously existed at the state union level. It also decided to form a committee to decide on the allocation of national pensions to prominent artists.
The government decided on amendments regarding the criteria for determining the customs quota for the import of certain goods.
It gave consent to the 2007 financial plan proposed by the Committee for the Protection of Competition as well as to the rulebook on the list of medicines to be issued free of charge.
The government decided to set aside RSD 4 million from the budget for salaries and contributions for employees at the Teachers' Faculty in Subotica and another RSD 1.740 million for financing the Yugoslav Committee for International Cooperation of Medical Students.
The government will also allocate RSD 2.1 million for financing the organisation of the art exhibition themed "Naïve Art in Serbia" to be held at the European Commission's palace in Brussels.
The Information on starting an initiative to declare July 10 – Tesla's birth day – the international day of science and inventorship was also adopted.
The government decided to start talks with the bidder who gave the most favourable offer – Spanish contractor FCC – at the public tender for giving concessions for the construction, usage and maintenance of the Horgos-Pozega motorway.
The government adopted the 2006 social care programme proposed by the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija.
