Opening of seasonal border crossing for international air traffic in Kragujevac

Belgrade, 29 May 2025

The Serbian government adopted today the Resolution on the opening of seasonal border crossing for international air passenger traffic "Kragujevac - MIND".

The airport will be in operation from 1 April to 31 October during the calendar year, from 7 am to 7 pm and will enable direct flights and fast communication between different regions.

Reducing travel time for businesspeople using this airport will lead to increased productivity and efficiency in all aspects of business in MIND Park and the region.

"Kragujevac Airport - MIND" has already built functional infrastructure and modern facilities at the border crossing that are designed in accordance with the highest standards, so there is no need for additional construction, renovation or reconstruction.

Government members adopted a Conclusion recommending that employers in the Republic of Serbia allow employees - members of the Islamic community - not to work on the second, third and fourth days of Eid al-Adha - 7, 8 and 9 June 2025, given that it is one of the two greatest Islamic holidays.

The government also adopted a Conclusion on the adoption of the Programme for Supporting the Economic Development of Municipalities with Significantly Negative Demographic Trends in 2025. The funds are intended for financial support to young entrepreneurs under 35 years of age who operate in municipalities with extremely negative demographic trends.

A Conclusion establishing that the "Project for the Construction of a Water Plant in the Settlement of Idvor" is a project of importance for the Republic of Serbia was also adopted.

The project includes the construction of a drinking water processing plant, a reservoir with a pumping station, a well, a water pipeline with accompanying facilities and the development of the water source site in Idvor, in the municipality of Kovačica.
