Serbia’s new currency code RSD

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said that London-based British Standards Institution (BSI) has changed the alpha and numeric code of the national currency of the Republic of Serbia.
The three-character alpha code for the dinar is RSD, and applies as of October 25, 2006, while its numeric code is 941.
This created preconditions for the Serbian dinar to be enlisted in world financial stock exchanges for the first time in modern history.
The NBS will perform adequate changes to the currency mark in its exchange rate lists and notify all state authorities and institutions, international institutions, domestic and foreign correspondent banks of such changes, the statement said.
